How soon will I see result?
Results will vary from patient to patient depending mainly on the extent of current hair loss.
Having so said, results can be seen in as little as three months with optimum results generally being achieved in the 12 – 24 month timeframe. Remember that most hair loss is progressive so the best time to start treatment is today!
How common is hair loss?
We are generally aware that hair loss and thinning is fairly common in men – but the problem is more widespread than you would think with 1 in 2 men being affected. Perhaps more surprising is that 1 in 4 women are affected as well.
What is laser hair therapy?
Laser Hair Therapy (LHT) is a non-surgical, scientific approach in the cosmetic treatment of hair loss, thinning hair, and scalp problems. LHT has been tested for effectiveness and safety for over 30 years all around the world.
The treatments utilize a device containing therapeutic soft low light level lasers. LHT delivers light energy directly from laser diodes covering your head. LHT functions on the same scientific principle, as that of photo-bio-stimulation; laser light stimulates cell metabolism and helps damaged cells to repair themselves.
This technology is an effective treatment of hair loss, when used in conjunction with proper scalp and hair hygiene products.
Why do I need products in addition to laser treatment?
The most common cause of hair loss is DHT. Testosterone is converted to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which attaches to the androgen receptors on the hair follicle gradually shrinking and withering the hair follicle until it dies and hair loss occurs.
HLCC® ‘s DHT inhibitors harmlessly bind to androgen receptors preventing DHT from binding to hair follicles so your hair will stay healthy and grow. With less DHT binding to the androgen receptors, your hair resumes its normal growth cycle allowing smaller hairs to grow back thicker and longer and dormant hair will start to grow back again.
DHT inhibitors work below the surface of the scalp. Our scalp and hair hygiene products dissolve the sebum build up, allowing the DHT inhibitors to penetrate to the dermal papilla, which is the only place they can work.
I live out of town so cannot commit to in-clinic treatment. Can you still help me?
Absolutely. Although we find results from in-clinic treatment to be the best, we sell a variety of highly effective laser products – brushes, caps, helmets, and even “home clinic” lasers with 75 or 100 diodes – for use at home or on holiday.
